Blue Autos Launched in Gurgaon

Gurgaon is getting some decent public transport one after another. The connectivity of Gurgaon with Delhi and NCR improved with the arrival of metro. Then Tuk Tuk (Auto on call) was launched in November. Now it’s the turn for another Radio Auto, “Blue Auto on Call”.

Lack of reliable public transport system is a prominent problem faced by the residents of Gurgaon. People without personal vehicles have few options of public transport. Gurgaon does not have any decent bus service that can help people commute from one locality to another. There are local taxi services that charge obscene money as tarrif. The city crowd comprises of a large number of working women but there is no safe transportation option that they can use during late nights.

Since the administration is not paying much attention to this issue, private players are coming up with public transport ideas. First it was Radio Tuk tuk and now it’s Blue Auto. Although Haryana Government has recently launched women special autos in Gurgaon, they are not sufficient in number to cater the huge demand.

Like Radio Tuk tuk, Blue Autos are fitted with GPS, electronic meter, emergency button, first aid kit, fir extinguisher, immobilizer and microphone. The vehicles are TVS manufactured and CNG fitted. At present the operator has launched 20 such autos and plans to increase the number in near future.

The Blue Autos will charge Rs 10 per kilometer as against Tuk Tuk that charges Rs 50 for first 3 kilometers and Rs 8 for additional kilometers. According to the operator of the service, the main focus is on ensuring a safe and smooth ride to the users. All the drivers are verified and well-trained.

Blue Auto service will operate from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm and also cater to commuters who want to travel short distance. The providers also have a state-of-the-art customer care service that will simplify the process of booking and tracking the autos by customers. You can reach Blue Auto @ 0124-4844444.

To counter the launch of Blue Auto, Radio Tuk Tuk has declared that its service will now be available 24×7. With a few more such initiatives, Gurgaon is soon going to be a city with an efficient public transport system that will add real value to the life of its residents.
