  I do take pride in the fact that my son, JINENDRA JAIN is a student (Grade-IX, Admn No. 1198) of your esteemed academy for all the reputations attached to it. However, over the last few months the quality of vegetarian foods, that my son has opted for, seems to have considerably reduced, both in terms of preparation and its contents. He no longer enjoys his meals as much as he did earlier.

  Added to above, these days the Hostel boarders are provided with ceiling fans in their rooms instead of AC as it had always been. We, as parents are quite disappointed after our son confided all these in us and also wonder how this can happen in an institution which claims to provide the best available facilities to its students.

  A sample of treatment experience in yoga & naturopathy

  I Suhasini employee of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, aged 36, have been suffering from backbone problem since 1989. Actually I met with four accidents on the same segments of tailbone on different time intervals.

  When I met with first accident, I went straight away to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi for getting treatment. I got treatment for three months and was on bed-rest for almost one month. Even after that I could not get proper relief and a deformity in my back-bone was established. I was in pain for almost Twenty-Four hours (of course, slight pain, which was bearable). Then, doctors suggested, as my tail-bone is slightly dislocated it needs to be operated. But with this operation they warned some side-effects also in case of being unsuccessful, which was not an appreciating step to take on my part in such an early age. With that light pain I had to suffer from one more problem and that was that since then I could not sleep straight on my back, I used to sleep on either side. By mistake, if I used to sleep on my back, I could not get up easily. Then, slowly and slowly I became used to it and forgot to sleep on back.

  Second time when I met with another accident the case became more critical because this time I got three hairline fractures in my coccyx segments means again on the same tailbone. This time it was more painful. I was admitted in Anand Hospital, Delhi for treatment. This time doctors straight away suggested me to get this tailbone removed by operation. They said this is the only remedy to get rid of all my pains and discomforts. But my family doctor suggested me to bear this pain to avoid any other complication and I followed him and didn’t give consent for operation and came back home and took rest for more than one month. But even then I could not get rid of my pain. It was quite a long time span with pain for twenty-four hours and restless sleep. I started using rubber- ring for sitting and cushion for back support as per doctors’ advices. I had to carry these things with me all the time whether it was traveling or sitting. Even while sleeping I had to use that rubber ring. Without that continuous slight pain, rubber ring and cushion I could not think of my life. All these became part of my day-to-day life.

  Third time again, I met with a minor accident and got my tailbone fractured. This time x-ray report showed two hair-line fractures in my coccyx segments. Then, I went to Apollo Hospital, New Delhi and got admitted over there for treatment. The specialists in Apollo advised me to get the three segments of tail-bone removed at the earliest means every time I got the same advice, thus, there was no doubt of any other solution for my problem. But this time also I left the hospital with the same decision of not getting it removed and bear the pain as far as I could. This time also I spent more than one month at home. Once again, I was with the rubber-ring and cushion for a long time. Of course, pain was already there but this time, it was with increased intensity.

  Fourth time, in 2006, I fell down again on that particular bone on the frozen snow at Amarnath. With severe pain I boarded helicopter and came back from there and went to Privat Hospital, Gurgaon for treatment. This time doctor told that although I have not got fracture in my bone but no doubt, this time the bone has got more damaged than the earlier accidents because this time it was bent and formed gap in the segments, which was obviously having more pain and discomfort. But this time doctor straightaway told me that now there is no use of getting this bone removed because it is of no use, it is already too late. He advised me to bear the pain and better take bed rest and forget all physical labour. No problem, because I was used to this pain for last Seventeen years. I compromised with my destiny and again started carrying the rubber ring and cushion with heavy heart.
  Then, one day by chance I came across Dr.D.JAYAPRAKASH, BNYS.
  (Yoga instructor) and he told me that he is a Naturopathy doctor too and he can cure me. Although for the first instance I could not believe him but I thought when there is no other hope left what’s wrong in doing this experiment. He studied all my reports and said that he can cure me with in Fifteen days. I was a classical dancer too but due to my condition dance became as a dream for me, which used to be my life-line. Anyway, I started Yogic exercises in his guidance. In the initial stage it was very painful, I used to cry literally. Moreover, he was very strict and he convinced me that it is all for my benefit. So, I absorbed that pain too. But within a week I observed change in my bones and started feeling decrease in pain. Within a week he asked me to stop using rubber-ring, remove cushion, sleep straight on my back, and join office. Earlier I was afraid but he gave me courage with his treatment and I could easily do all these things. Then, almost after ten days, after finishing the Yoga session I feel that now there is no pain in my backbone and I really observed that something is missing in my life and that was the twenty-four hour pain, which became part of my life. On the same day he gave me a sweet surprise and said that I can pursue my dance once again. It was really an unbelievable experience of my life. After Seventeen years I could sleep on my back properly and that also without pain.

  This Naturopathy doctor proved to be a god-man for me, who gave me relief from a long-time pain and gifted me a painless life because physical fitness is the first asset in a human being’s life. I shall remain in his and Naturopathy’s debit till my last breath!
  If for the Next Time, in this lifetime or the next birth, I meet with some accident or fall down on this bone again I shall pray the God to send this very Messiah with Naturopathy for my rescue!!
