On Saturday, a 23 year girl named Aashu committed suicide under mysterious conditions in the Leisure Park Valley Sec 29 of Gurgaon. The girl was residing in Delhi and was pursuing MBA through correspondence from Delhi University. According to police, the victim committed suicide by consuming poison. However there was no such poison found from her possession but a strip of anti-nauseatic drug was there. The girl probably had consumed one of those pills as there were only 9 pills from a strip of 10.
The girl was living with her family in the Lajpat Nagar area of New Delhi. According to her elder sister she had left the home saying that she was going to the market. The Police said that around 3:15 pm they found the victim in an unconscious state. Soon after that, she was rushed to the Max hospital, where she died after a few hours. The postmortem report confirmed that the death was caused by the poison.
ACP Gurgaon (east), Sumit Kuhar said that it was the case of suicide as the girl’s family members said that she had been severely depressed for the last few days. He also said that police is investigating the case by all the angles to find any other reason behind the death. There are few questions that seem to be puzzling the police as why did the victim commit suicide so far from her house and why was no poison found from her possession. Also there was no suicide note found. However a case has been registered in sec-29 police station under the section 174.
