Wednesday morning one factory in Udyog Vihar, Phase II caught fire. The name of the company is Bhurji Super-Tek Industries Ltd. It is a production house which produces parts of air conditioners and air coolers. It was a major accident as it damaged all most the entire building except the basement and some of the front portions of the building.
A loss of Rs 1 crore or more is estimated due to this unexpected accident. According to the fire department officials there is no loss of life. There were 72 workers inside the company when this incident took place but all have been reported to be safe now. The fire department received a call around 9.30am and managed to reach on time. Though there were more than 20 fire tenders and one hydraulic platform, still it took them 5 hours to blow off the fire. There reason of the accident is not clear but it looks as there was overheating of plastic material inside the company that caused the fire.
