Gurgaon is fast emerging as a dream destination for home seekers and people who want to buy new houses and properties to reside. With the influx of population in this region, it has become the responsibility of local civic bodies to cater to the medical needs of the residents of the city and provide them with adequate medical facilities. The city has developed on a large scale in last few years and population of the city is growing to large numbers.

The government has successfully equipped itself with necessary health care services. The city offers both governmental and private health care services, although private health care services have been dominant. Gurgaon has been successfully able to offer quality medical facilities not only to the patients in gurgaon but also to the patients of the National Capital Region and patients coming from other states.

Gurgaon today has a vide variety of hospitals. There are ENT hospitals, Maternity hospitals, Dental hospitals, Cardiac hospitals, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic centres. Gurgaon even offers veterinary care.

Bharat maternity hospital is a well known hospital in the field of maternity care. Nangia ENT hospital is another hospital dedicated to ENT problems. Brooke Hospital for Animals has been offering services in the field of veterinary care. Another big hospital in veterinary care is People for Animals Hospital.

Today we find a number of people who find more comfort in the traditional Ayurvedic therapies. Dharmani Ayurvedik Chikitsa Kendra is a well known health care centre in Gurgaon rendering services in Ayurveda.

The Apollo Clinic, City Hospital, Kanshiram medical centre, Chiranjiv Hospital, Civil hospital, Umkal Hospital and Jindal hospital are some of the other famous medical centres. Hence residents of gurgaon have a wide variety of hospitals to choose from. Recently Escorts Medicity, Artemis Hospital of Apollo Tyres Group and Paras Healthcare have started their operations in Gurgaon. Considering the fact that all major healthcare centres of the country have now established their service centres in gurgaon and now ready to provide best of their services, it is assumed that the health of the residents of gurgaon is in safe hands. Moreover, people from National Capital Region and other states can come and avail of the services.

One of the soothing factors in this health care service is the well established infrastructure. The transportation facility is not an area of concern and patients from other states can commute to these hospitals very easily. City’s proximity with the national and international airtport makes it easily accessible.

The prime goal of the medical practitioners in Gurgaon has been to provide dedicated and proficient health services. Astemis Hospital is a big 500-bed hospital which focuses on orthopedics, cardiology and oncology. Paras Healthcare is another 250-bed hospital which takes care of neuro-sergery, mother and child care, orthopedics and trauma. A big boost to the city medical care services will be given by a world class Escorts Medi City which is a 1700 bed hospital providing services in Allopathy, Unani, Ayurvedic, Naturopathy and Homeopathy.
