Dak Pathar is an amazing spot situated at the foothills of the Himalayas that give the pleasure of nature along with various adventurous sports that creates an attraction for the tourists. It is approximately 6kms away from Kalsi and 25kms away from Paonata Sahib in Uttrakhand. The part is newly constructed by the Garhwal Vikas Nigam. Activities that are found over here are canoeing, river rafting, water surfing, hovercraft ride, boating, and trekking as well. The place is also recognized by the building up of hydel project very near to the place. The hydel project is constructed on the way to Chakrata from Dehra Dun and now it has been changed into an enjoyment centre.

Dak Pathar is not a very well known tourist destination but the place has a charm and beauty in a way that people love to visit the place for gaining mental peace and relaxation. The gardens and lawns look amazing with sweet and pretty flowers. In some places there are swimming pools also where you can enjoy the facility of bathing.
A few kilometers away there is a religious destination also. The place is named as Lakha Mandal which has historical and archeological importance as it is believed that this was a hidden abode to the kauravas when they were on their mission of burning the Pandavas.
Paonata Sahib is located there which is nearly 16kms away form Dak Pathar. It is one of the most famous Gurudwara recognized by the name of Guru Gobind Singhji. It is visited by a large number of devotees and also many tourists from across the world come to have a glance of its beauty. Kalsi is also a beautiful destination situated very close to the garden of Dak Pathhar. The garden is known for the existence of the inscribed Ashokan edict of high historical significance.
Dak Pathar also gets a privilege of being attractive because tourist coming to this place can also enjoy the beautiful view of the Yamuna Valley. It is also called as Khodri Dak Pathar sometimes.
You can reach towards Dak Pathar very easily as the place is around 45kms away form Dehra Dun. The only nearest airport is the famous Grant Jolly Airport which is located in Dehra Dun only.
Your route from Gurgaon should be first to New Delhi by moving towards Ghaziabad by taking NH24. Taking a left turn for Meerut will take you to Modinagar via NH58 road. By crossing Purquazi, you’ll be able to reach at Muzaffarnagar via Roorkee. Then again take a left turn to form NH72A which will make you reach Dehra Dun. NH72 is the correct road that will take you to Dak Pathar from Dehra Dun. Don’t forget that this way would be convenient if you’ll travel by road by hiring a private taxi or by taking a bus. Luxury buses are also available and various trains have also been scheduled by the railway authorities.
