Dhanaulti is coming up as a good tourist destination. It is only 27 kms away from mussoorie and 31 kms from chamba and it is situated on mussoorie-chamba road. Dhanaulti lies at 2250 mts above the sea level. This all weather favourite tourist spot is far away from crowd, noise and rush.

Attractions of Dhanaulti:

• Surkanda devi – Temple situated on the top of the mountain almost 9 kms away from Dhanaulti.
• Chamba – (31 kms.) It is also known as Ravi valley. The scenery consists of many eye soothing sights.
• New tehri – (37 kms.)
• Barehipani(399m) & Joranda falls(150m) – They are situated in the core area of Simlipal national park.
• Long treks from Dhanaulti to Deoprayag, the place where the Bhagirathi River and the Alaknanda River meet and give birth to the river Ganga.

Kempty Falls, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamnotri glaciers are other attractive trekking spots reached via Dhanaulti.

Both of them are around 35kms away from Delhi. The nearest airport from Dhanaulti is jolly grant (82 kms.) at Dehradun. Taxis and tourist cabs are available at the airport.

Dhanaulti is 325 kms away from delhi, and is 8-9 hrs drive by road. Direct buses are also available from Gurgaon as well as Delhi. Sometimes you do not get a direct bus then the best way is to take a bus from Gurgaon to Dhaula Kuan which will then take you straight to Delhi. Ample of bus services are available at the Delhi I.S.B.T with flexible timings for reaching Dehradun. You can hire a taxi for Dhanaulti.

There are several trains available for Dehradun if one opts for rail transport. Trains namely Dehradun Shatabdi Express, Dehradun Jan Shatabdi Express, Rajdhani Express and many are convenient for your journey to Dehradun. The nearest railhead is 65 kms at Dehradun. From here you can drive up to Dhanaulti or you can hire taxi from Dehradun railway station.

You can visit Dhanaulti at any time of the year, except monsoons. Carry light woolens for summers and heavy woolens will be required for winters.
Many of guest houses are available that offers good accommodation. Hotels are few but they have all the facilities to serve.
