Fagu is located at a distance of approximately 22kms away from Shimla in Himachal Pradesh It is one amongst the beaten tracks of the place which have not been able to gain the attention of most of the tourists. The city is rich in the natural beauty rested in the peaceful hills, valleys and plains. It offers panoramic views of the green forests and orchards and also benefits its travelers with the privilege of trekking, mountaineering and campaigning. These are the most famous adventurous activities of this as well as other near by regions. Camping is very much in practice at a distance of 13kms away form Fagu in the place called Katir. It is regarded as one of the most ideal camping destinations.
Fagu is a small place with beauty all around away from the modernized ways of living. So one cannot even get to see a market in the city but at a distance of about 10kms you can find a market town named Theog. It is actually a village stretching along the hillside of the town. Moving by bus or private car form Delhi or even Gurgoan would be very much exciting and adventurous. Make sure that you follow the route from Delhi. Start towards the northern direction from Delhi by the NH1 road via Karnal. From there you need to move around 90kms on the same road towards Ambala. Then from there, NH22 is the route for Kalka around 78kms away crossing, Zirakpur, Panchkula and then moving towards Pinjore. Then you’ll reach Solan at the distance of around 40kms on the same route. This would make you cross Barog and Dharampur. On the same route Shimla is at the distance of 50kms. From here Fagu is 24kms away. On this way you would get to see Kufri and Sanjauli. Moving towards Delhi from Gurgaon is very much convenient. Follow the route towards the NH8 road crossing Dhaula Kuuan.
