Kaudiyala is located around 40kms away from Rishikesh and at an altitude of 380ms above the sea level. It is exactly situated on the highway running from Rishikesh towards Badrinath in the middle of highly dense forests that are the abode of natural wildlife rarely found anywhere. The place is well recognized for the existence of various water sports, attractive activities and beautiful landscape views. Rock climbing, river rafting, mountaineering are ideal sports that gather the attention of most of the trekkers. The waters of Ganga are flowing almost from the middle of the city and it covers most of the city areas.

Various facilities are available nowadays and there are traveling lodges also that make you avail of all the necessary tools and equipments required while traveling through water. The surrounding is neat, tidy and calm. The place not only offers adventure to younger generations but is also an attractive destination for visitors looking for peace.

Shivpuri is situated very near to this place and both the cities along with Rishikesh have made river rafting a very popular sport of the entire region. Deoprayag is also a popular destination that shares the responsibility of providing adventures and other pleasures of water.

Leopard Beech Tented camp at Kaudiyala provides the benefits of camping and Kayaking following from September to May. Another very famous rafting operator is Outdoor Adventures that has made rafting more and more popular by providing the privilege of moving far form the place. They take you to a water ride all the way from Kaudiyala to Rishikesh and then reaching Haridawar and finally your way back to the starting point. This becomes the most adventures one and adds awesome flavors to the trip.

Kaudiyala is situated very near to Rishikesh and being a small tourist destination, it does not offer the convenience of railhead or even an airport so to reach there easily; you have to either hire a direct taxi from Delhi or Gurgaon or make yourself comfortable with the Indian Rail transport as now a days many trains are available for Dehra Dun. The most comfortable ones are the Shatabdi and the Doon Express. Mussooorie Express would make you get down at Haridwar or Rishikesh railway station.

Direct buses are also available from Delhi and Gurgaon bus terminals. If you do not get a direct bus from Gurgaon, try and manage to reach Delhi I.S.B.T and you’ll get many buses from there. The nearest airport is the Jolly Grant Airport situated at Dehra Dun, from where you need to hire a taxi to reach your destination.
