Khara Pathar is a beautiful hill station located at a height of about 8,770ft above the sea level. It is exactly located near the beautiful hill side area named Jubbal which is at a distance of around 13kms away from the place. One can reach this place within 6hrs from Delhi as it resides in the middle of the hills located in the eastern side of Shimla in Himacahl Pradesh. The place is at a distance of 450kms away from Delhi.

Khara Pathar is not a place of interest for most of the travelers generally as it is not so rich is providing interesting areas and activities. The only attractive locations are some lofty mountain peaks and beautiful natural sceneries. It is also very famous for the apple orchards and natural vegetations of deodar and pine trees. Most of the hilly region is covered by these trees only.

Though the place has not yet managed to stabilize its image as an attractive destination among the visitors, still it grabs the attention of the visitors who are really on a holiday for making themselves relaxed. Peace and stress free environment is what is offered here in the beautiful long distant roads of the city. Picturesque beauty of the town and majestic high hills are strong enough to track the attention of the trekking lovers and mountaineers. • Jubbal: It is well recognized for the beauty of the heritage property, the Jubbal Palace. It is located on the Pabbar river valley near Shimla.
• Hatkoti: The famous Hatkoti temple of the place is surrounded by the hilly slopes of Sunpuri Mountains. By mixing itself with these hills, the place is locally called as Ardhnarishwar. Mahishasurmardini temple is also an ideal temple which is an abode to Lord Ganesha.
• Seema: It is an amazing spot well appreciated and recognized as an anglers Paradise.
• Kothkhai: It is located at a height of 5,774ft above the sea level, it is also called as an apple’s city. Chiragaon is also an attractive destination located very close to Khara Pathar.

Khara Pathar is a very small town so it does not benefits its travelers with the faculties of having an airport or a railhead. As the place is situated near Shimla so the nearest airport is the Shimla airport only, from where you can manage to hire a private taxi for reaching towards Khara pathar. The nearest railhead is again in Shimla only so if you’re traveling by train you can get down at Shimla and again hire a taxi form there. Khara Pathar is located on the Shimla-Rohru highway, so traveling by road would be really very exciting.
