Khirsu is one of the most beautiful places situated near Pauri in Uttranchal. It is a calm place free from disturbance, pollution and away from the hustle-bustle of city life helping you to rejuvenate your body and soul.
Khirsu is very peaceful tourist spot where Chirping of birds can only break the silence of dense forests of oak and deodar and apple orchards.
One can visit Khirsu all round the year. During winters, tourists get attracted to snow covered mountains, whereas on the other hand in summers you can enjoy a clear view of central Himalayas. One can have a panoramic view of around 300 named and unnamed peaks. And to see the entire range you can go to chaukhamba massif in the center from where all the peaks spread around.
Taking the road to Khirsu is not a problem as you can easily get cars and taxis from all major towns to reach there. And Pauri has a small bus stand to stay connected by bus even. You can catch bus from I.S.B.T. (Delhi) reaching Delhi by taxi or cab if you are coming from Gurgaon and from Pauri you can hire a taxi for Khirsu.
To travel by train the nearest railhead is Rishikesh (140kms). From Delhi there are several trains. You have to book your tickets in advance for there. Reaching stations should not be a problem as taxis and tourist cars are available outside the station.
Traveling by air will provide you with scenic beauty of the place specially mountains. Jolly Grant is the nearest airport, 155kms away from Khirsu. Whether you are coming from Delhi or Gurgaon you can easily reach airport by your car or by taxi. Same you can do at the Jolly Grant airport you can take a taxi for Khirsu.

I belong to Khirsu, so I can tell you the exact route from Delhi.
You need not go to Rishikesh for Khirsu. Simply hire a taxi from Delhi. Follow the route : Delhi-Meerut- Najibabad - Kotdwar - Dogadda - Gumkhal - Satpuli(have a break here for lunch or snacks) and then Paidul(can have darshan of Jwalpa devi, which is near Paidul)- Bubakhal(turn right from Bubakhal, need not go to Pauri)- Chaubatta and then Khirsu. If you are a nature lover, you can take another route for coming back to Delhi. Follow : Khirsu - Kothgi - Bhugani(birthplace of Sh. H.N. BAHHUGUNA)- Devalgarh(devi bhagwati temple)- Srinagar - Kirtinagar - Devprayag - Rishikesh - Haridwar - Delhi.
By this way you shall have the experience of All Green route of Kotdwar-Khirsu and Alaknanda Route of Srinagar - Rishikesh. I enjoyed a lot with my family during April. If you do not want to go to Srinagar on return journey then follow route : Khirsu - Chaubatta - Bubakhal - Pauri - Devprayag - Rishikesh - Delhi.This strech is beautiful

Khirsu is most beautiful place. Actually it is like heaven on earth. When you will sit on any place of khirsu, gentle breeze will relax you.This is something which i can explain. It is the things to feel.
