Mori is ideally a place where kids can enjoy themselves by involving in activities like rock climbing, to rappelling, playing cricket and volleyball. The families can spend their time exploring the sandy beaches of the Tons River and some bird-watching. It also provides a diversified range of flora and fauna to witness upon.
Mori has various places to see around. One is Ancient Duryodhana Temple which is beautifully wood crafted. It is heard to be made by Pandavas and those who are interested can walk down to history lane. The region, Jaunsar Bawar is venerated for its Pandava connection but the temples here are dedicated to Kauravas, and Karna, King Shalya.

Netwar is 11 kms from Mori, where a beautiful Temple is dedicated to Karna who was an ally of Duryodhana, in Mahabharata epic.
Another Temple is at Jakhol at a distance of 20 kms from Mori. It is Duryodhana Temple. Any of these temples don’t have idol to worship but on the way to Hari-ki-Dun trek route, there is an idol of the lord which is treated as a seat of divinity.
Along the narrow gorge, after a half-hour walk, comes a blue plunge-pool formed by a small waterfall which is Lunagad Creek. It is surrounded by Pine forests with some of Gujjar huts in between which forms an imagination in kids as a fairy tale environment.
The best thing to enjoy is the camping. There are various camping operators who set up Summer-Seasonal camps but are winded up by the monsoon. The Aquaterra Adventurers sets up the rafting camps from mid April to June and includes the activities like river-rafting, rock climbing, rappelling, midnight rambles and team-building exercises.


Great Indian Outdoors provide camps from mid-May to mid-July and organize the treks to the Ruinsara Tal. Himalayan River Runners is a self –contained campsite that offers the activities including rock-climbing, river-crossing, waterfall treks, bird-watching, nature walks and still-water kayak-ing. These camping operators also provide doctors and first-aid facilities.
Mori is not so far from Gurgaon, it can be reached by road via buses or private taxi’s. Direct buses are available from Gurgaon as well as Delhi also. If you are not able to hire the bus from Gurgaon to Mori, then take the bus for Dhaula Kuan to Delhi I.S.B.T. A large number of buses are available here at different timings for Mori. The route from Delhi goes via Meerut to Muzaffarnagar and Roorkee on NH 58 to Dehradun and Massoorie. Through Massoorie, State Highway descends to Yamuna Pul , then Kempty Fall. Then finally from Puroli you can move to Mori.
Rail transport is also convenient to opt for. You can take your train from Gurgaon, Old Delhi and Nizamuddin which will drop you at Dehradun or Haridwar station. From there you can hire a taxi to reach for Mori.
If you want to go by air then reach the Indira Gandhi airport for domestic flights. The flight will land on Dehradun airport. Mori from Dehradun is around 175 kms. So to cover the remaining distance, take a bus or a private car to reach the final destination to Mori.
