Pancheshwar is a small village located at the border of India and Nepal which is around 40kms away form Lohaghat in Uttranchal. The place actually exists at the junction where the two famous rivers named Saryu and Kali meets in a district called Champawat. The place is famous for the existence of the ancient temple of Lord Shiva. This is the reason why the place gets travelers in large numbers as most of the people come to see and worship the glory of the Hindu God. It is around 5kms away from a place called Pulla and 12kms away from Rasul. It is not true to say that the place is a very famous tourist’s attraction but the entire place and the city itself add exiting flavors to your trip if you are in a mood to have a scenic view of beautiful nature and serenity of India. The ancient truth about the temple is that the jaman or the jaat of the village of Chaumu comes from the Sail villages for protecting the animals of the city. The village of Sail is located approximately 5kms away from the temple and is appreciated by the devotees with great trust and affection in the form of milk and bells which they offer to the lord of the temple. This temple attracts many travelers due to one more reason which is the beautiful Uttarayani Mela held on Makar Sankranti. People come to visit this place by taking yatra to celebrate the auspicious occasion.
