Pauri is situated in the surrounding locations of Dehradun, Haridwar and Nainital in Uttranchal on the high slopes of Kandiliya Hills. It is approximately at 5,950ft above the sea level and is at a distance of 110kms from Kotdwar. Mostly tourists get attracted by the stunning beauty of the peaks that are filled up with snow. This view is possibly seen during winters but summers over here are even more beautiful as the place is benefited with the growth of well known trees like Deodar and Pine that are hardly found anywhere in the nearby areas.

Pauri is a small district near the blessed land of Pauri Garhwal. Many spiritual and religious activities are closely related to some of the locations. Neekakanth, Kedarnath, and Nandadevi are religious destinations situated at some distance away from Pauri.
