Pauri is situated in the surrounding locations of Dehradun, Haridwar and Nainital in Uttranchal on the high slopes of Kandiliya Hills. It is approximately at 5,950ft above the sea level and is at a distance of 110kms from Kotdwar. Mostly tourists get attracted by the stunning beauty of the peaks that are filled up with snow. This view is possibly seen during winters but summers over here are even more beautiful as the place is benefited with the growth of well known trees like Deodar and Pine that are hardly found anywhere in the nearby areas.

Pauri is a small district near the blessed land of Pauri Garhwal. The place looks awesome with the running waters of various rivers and beautiful valleys that give rise to different cultures and traditions to be followed by people living in the city. Many spiritual and religious activities are closely related to some of the locations. Neekakanth, Kedarnath, and Nandadevi are religious destinations situated at some distance away from Pauri. These places are being visited by millions of devotees every year. For some of them, they are only attractive tourist destinations where people come to enjoy the splendor of rich Indian culture.

City of Pauri and many other closely located places are rich in diversity and culture but it creates some other problems for the coming generations as the youngsters are continuously following the repeated ways and traditions to the extent that hampers the natural growth and development of the city and in turn its prosperity. The idea is not to avoid these religious or traditional activities but people and the government should make good arrangements for the development of the city. This rule is now being followed by the local authorities due to which maintenance and development is taken as an issue of national importance. Mussoorie and Nainital are nearest beautiful and most renowned hilly regions where tourists come to see from far of places.

Dehraun airport or the Jolly Grant airport is the nearest one for people traveling by air. Manage your trip accordingly as you might now get easy flights taking people directly towards Pauri. Either book your flight in advance or make some arrangements at the Indira Gandhi Airport in Gurgaon only. From there you’ll be able to access various flights. Many railway facilities are also available nowadays running directly from Delhi as well as Gurgaon. Some buses are also scheduled nowadays which are really cost effective. If you do not manage to get a direct train or bus from Gurgaon, try and reach Delhi via Dhaula Kuan, where you’ll be able to get many trains at the New and Old Delhi railway stations and buses at I.S.B.T
