Shoghi is situated at a distance of 342kms away from Delhi and 15kms away from Shimla. It is exactly located in the hilly paradise of the Himachal Pradesh and is considered an ideal place for visitors craving for beautiful scenic views of India’s rich natural heritage balanced in the diversity of climate. The place is gaining more and more popularity because of the adventurous activities that are mostly considered as a traveler’s delight. Rock climbing, campaigning and trekking are very common sports of this small town. It is surrounded by the dusty plains, valleys and hills all around.

Shoghi
is a small sleepy town of Himachal placed situated at a height of 5,873ft above the sea level. It is one of the most attractive areas for spending small holidays especially for children and young adults. It is also considered as a romantic destination for honeymoon couples. The place offers an attractive bliss of nature which is still left unseen by most travelers. The town is located on a ridge equipped in the middle of a variety of trees so it is almost considered as a resort. Travelers coming to Shoghi try to find accommodations in the beautiful bamboo huts instead of finding any hotels. Tara Devi temple is a famous temple located very close to Shoghi. It is in the southward direction at a distance of 11kms form Shimla. The temple is at a height of 6,073fts above the sea level. It is believed that this temple was built around 200-500 years ago and there is a famous old story attached to it. The story says that the temple was built by the King of Junga on the hill at the single glance of Tara Devi. The temple gets pilgrims during the festival season in the months of October and November. Photography is strictly prohibited during this time. Along side, travelers are also benefited by the fresh green atmosphere and peace of the place without any voices from the industrialized towns. Birds chirping can be only heard with some pleasant and soothing voices of the forests.

How to reach?

The nearest airport to Shoghi is Jubberhati which is around 35kms away from the exact location. From Delhi it would be quite convenient for you to access easy flight towards this place. The nearest airport towards Delhi is the Indira Gandhi and Palam airport located very close to Gurgaon. Both the place provides the benefit of private taxis. You can even hire a direct bus or taxi traveling straight towards Shoghi via the NH1 route to Ambala crossing Karnal. One can also reach there by train but the nearest railhead is at Kalka which is around 87 kms away. Private taxis are available for making traveling convenient for the visitors these days.
