Shoghi is situated at a distance of 342kms away from Delhi and 15kms away from Shimla. Tara Devi temple is a famous temple located very close to Shoghi. It is in the southward direction at a distance of 11kms form Shimla. The temple is at a height of 6,073fts above the sea level. It is believed that this temple was built around 200-500 years ago and there is a famous old story attached to it. The story says that the temple was built by the King of Junga on the hill at the single glance of Tara Devi. The temple gets pilgrims during the festival season in the months of October and November. Photography is strictly prohibited during this time. Along side, travelers are also benefited by the fresh green atmosphere and peace of the place without any voices from the industrialized towns. Birds chirping can be only heard with some pleasant and soothing voices of the forests.

The nearest airport towards Delhi is the Indira Gandhi and Palam airport located very close to Gurgaon. Both the place provides the benefit of private taxis. You can even hire a direct bus or taxi traveling straight towards Shoghi via the NH1 route to Ambala crossing Karnal.
