The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) makes significant real estate news in terms of Gurgaon’s development by sanctioning the amount of 22.95 crore for proper construction of the Southern Peripheral Road. Although the project was for the hard core development of the city, yet it faced numerous hurdles in the times bygone. With the successful sanctioning of the SPR project in Gurgaon the project receives a significant impetus.
As per one of the senior officials of HUDA it is assured that the projects approval letter has been duly received and hence the construction of the project would begin in the upcoming four to five months. As per the layout of the HUDA plans for the project, a 17 kilometer long road which would be connecting the stretch of Gurgaon Faridabad to National Highway 8 would come into existence through the venture. The officials said that a separate core committee would be formed for preparation of a detailed estimate of the Southern Peripheral Road project. The estimate would then be submitted for technical evaluation for a detailed analysis.
The success of the project is very crucial s upon it depends the solving of the problem of congestion of the major areas of Gurgaon that is the Mehrauli Gurgaon Road and the IFFCO Chowk intersection. As all the traffic moving from Faridabad has to necessarily pass through Mehrauli Gurgaon Road as well as IFFCO Chowk to reach National Highway 8 which causes a lot of congestion in the areas.
The Southern Peripheral Road would be passing through the HUDA sector 56 road to Badshahpur road, Kherki Dhaula and finally National Highway 8 which would enable the major traffic if Faridabad to avoid Mehrauli Gurgaon road to reach National Highway 8.
As per the plans of HUDA is it is known that the kick start of the Southern Peripheral Road project will be done from Sohna. Numerous litigations on Sohna National Highway 8 stretch seem to have jeopardized the project. According to senior officials, there is a one kilometer long stretch on the Sohna National Highway 8 which would prove to be the major hurdle in the proving of the project.
Nothing less than 35 cases of land acquisition on this particular stretch are known to be pending in the court. The major litigants who comprise of the group of pending cases are few private firms, land owners as well as the residents of the place. Dozens of illegal houses and shops of sector 56 also make a hurdle in the clean chit starting of the project. They are acting as major reasons for the starting up of the project.
Once the issues related to delaying of the project are solved, the real estate value of the area to which southern Peripheral Road will be connected will rise in leaps and bounds. It would definitely give a new real estate dimension to the property prices of Gurgaon.
