Kamrah Institute of Information Technology (KIIT) was established by the Vidyapati Sansthan Educational Society, under the Chairmanship of Sh. B.R. Kamrah. The college has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of HRD, Govt of India and Govt. of Haryana. The college is affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak.
The college offers a 4 years Bachelor of Engineering (BE) course in four streams- Computer Science & Engineering; Electronics & Communication Engineering; Electronics & Electrical Engineering And Information Technology. The college also offers Management Courses- MBA.
From the session 2006-07 and onwards, the admissions to the college in Bachelor courses are made through AIEEE, which is conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. Diploma holders can also be admitted in IIIrd semester directly, if the person qualifies in Lateral Entry Examination Test (LEET) conducted by Haryana State. The person is eligible for the MBA program, if he/she qualifies the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) with Bachelor’s degree in respective branch of Engineering & Technology from any University.
