Gurgaon’s top management school, MDI has managed to secure 70% placement in its first phase of campus recruitment for its PGDM students. Nearly 80 companies came for the recruitment and more 30 are yet to come which is an increase from last year’s 64 companies. The pool of companies came from various domains like PSUs , banking, consulting, financial services, IT, manufacturing, retail, telecom, education and infrastructure.

Most of the top notch companies from their respective domains participated in the recruitment process. Some of them were Tata Steel, ICICI, ITC, Maruti Udyog, Glaxo, RPG from HR, AIG, American Express, Bharti, Vodafone, Marico. Godrej, Phillips for PGPM and PGPIM. The Job profiles were Consulting, Finance, IT, Sales and Marketing.

On asking about the salary package offered to students, MDI said that the salary packages are very much satisfying compare to the recent situation. Also, the highest domestic salary has increased from last year but there is a dip of almost 10% in the average salary compared to the previous year. MDI also said that the institute has really performed quite well in not only the situation of economic melt down but also in the challenge of large batches. Mr. NK Singh, chairman of board of Governors MDI has expressed satisfaction over this first phase of placement.
