Modern Montessori International was inaugurated in the year 2005 by Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Minister for Education, Singapore. The Pre School-cum-Teacher Training Centre was established by the Modern Montessori International Group (MMI), which was set up in 1989 to introduce the Montessori Method of Education to Singapore.
The prime motto of Modern Montessori International is to maintain the rich Montessori tradition by promoting the recent and comprehensive courses and child development services based on the Montessori Method of Education. Currently, the Modern Montessori International Group has 40 centers worldwide with its principal office based in the United Kingdom.
Modern Montessori International also conducts courses leading to Diploma in Montessori Method of Education.
Admission Procedure:
- Play Group: The age criterion for admission to play group is 1.5 years to 2.5 years.
- Play School: The age criterion for admission to Nursery is 2.5 years to 4 years.
