Proposed Amusement Park by HUDA in Gurgaon

Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has possession over acres and acres of land in Gurgaon. In the times passed by, it has proposes to launch a amusement park in Gurgaon, and the very though had to go through a number of obstacles. The project was not much supported by other authorities and the working of it had to be stopped for some time. Now, with the likely clearance of the state government, HUDA is ready to launch the proposed amusement park in Gurgaon.

In the year HUDA selected International Amusement Limited (IAL) for its new project in the city. The short listing of IAL was done through a global tender. It is proposed that the park will be in two sections of the city. One of the parts of the park will be in sector 29 while the other one will be in sector 52. The plot size for the amusement park in sector 29 is 25 acres while in that of sector 52 it is around 17 acres.

As per the tentative plans designed by HUDA for the amusement park proposal, the sector 52 area will be having water sport activities. Its extension will make a part of sector 29 and one will come across state of the art structure and iconic facilities.

After the likely permission from the state government, now HUDA awaits for the project to be approved by Airport Authority of India (AAI) along with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. Residents welfare association (RWA) was the one to protest against the project when the contract was about to be awarded to HUDA. The allegation of RWA was that the state government was on the track of giving the project of amusement park to a private party on nominal prices.

The opposition was backed up by HUDA with the datas and documentations claiming the project to be based on a planned revenue model. The revenue model said that it would get revenue from rent to government exchequer.

It was expected that HUDA would be getting nothing less than the amount of 190 crores per annum from the project for the upcoming 23 years. The state government also understood what exactly HUDA planned and concluded that the world class amusement destination would promote tourist activities in the city which will be yet another way of adding on to the revenue.

The exact figure to be received by HUDA will be properly scanned and reviewed by a core committee constituted by state government as per the senior officials of the decision making committee. It is also planned that the state government would not be a partner to the footfalls profits of both of the two sections of the amusement park. The operational cost of the world class amusement park proposed by HUDA Gurgaon will be entirely borne by the firm. The design specifications to be followed in the amusement park would be according to the state government rules outlined clearly.

The passing of the projects form all the levels and the implementation of it in Gurgaon would affect the real estate scenario to a great extent. The property prices in and around the area would see a sharp upward graph slope. So, in the times to come, it is expected that the real estate market of Gurgaon will be at its booming stages with the launch of proposed amusement park by HUDA.
