‘Sheetla Saras Mela’, is just like a trade fair in open ground near Leisure Valley Park , Sheetla Saras Mela had become an annual feature in Gurgaon organized by the District Rural Development Authority (DRDA) with the help of Union Ministry of Rural Development since 2005 in the month of September, around navratras. This year it would be the fifth successive mela in a series. Sheetla Saras Mela is starting from 29th September to 10th October 2010 at Leisure Valley, Sector-29, Gurgaon.. Around 1000 artisans from across the country are likely to exhibit their handicraft products in it.
The main motive of SARAS Mela is to provide a better platform to Indian culture, art, craft and heritage. Numbers of cultural activities displaying the diversity of Indian culture have also been incorporated. It would be a beautiful opportunity for the Rural Artisans to display the variety of their skills.
If you are welling be a part of SARAS mela and want participation of food stalls of different Cuisines. The charges per Stall would be Rs. 10000/- only for the entire season. The list of participants along with recommendations may please be sent upto 27th September, 2010 positively, so that required preparations could be ensured in time to avoid any hassle to the participants.

Sir,
It is really surprise to me that SARAS MELA is charging rs 10000/ for stall,
Evan SHGs are forcing to pay that, what a shame it is.Here we are sending a letter to Rural Developmant Ministry as well.
