Shikshantar School, established in the year 2003, was promoted by Unitech South City Educational Charitable Trust (USECT), the social and cultural development division of Unitech, a reputed multinational company.
The Core Team of Shikshantar School consists of the Chairperson, Mrs Minoti Bahri, the Team Director, Mr Sanjay Prakash, and the Education Director, Sunil Batra., who all aim at nurturing a new attitude towards children and education. Currently, Shikshantar School conducts classes for Playgroup, Nursery, KG, and classes I to VIII.
Admission Procedure:
- Play Group: The age criterion for admission to play group is 2.5 years to 3.5 years.
- Nursery: On the basis of interview of the child along with their parents. Minimum age criterion for admission to Nursery is 3.5 years plus as on 31st March of the academic year.
- Classes I to VIII: On the basis of written test and interview of the child.

I apologize for not meeting you before leaving . But I wanted to thank you for giving me the opportunity to explore and to be a part of the children’s world. I have no words to express how much I enjoyed and learnt with the children. The amount of unconditional love showered by the children brings tears in my eyes. Honestly during the last days with Dhara group I thought myself to be the mother of 26 children , refusing to part with them. Finally, at the age of forty I know where I should have been .
I would also like to thank my supervisor , my co- teacher for helping me whenever I needed their support.

I came to gurgaon 3 years back. I kept on surfing on net, looking for schools which really work for holistic development of children. I infact visited many of them. But the feedback which i used to get from parents was not a good one. one day i visited a friend of mine whose sons are studying in your esteemed institution. I learnt that in shikshantar a child’s interest remains at the centre. One might feel that academically the school is not the best one but the persona of its students outshines. Hats off to you. I wish that each institution starts believing in the following thought-
“Just as a poet cannot restrain himself from writing, a singer cannot restrain himself from singing, same way a child cannot restrain himself from playing.”
We should let the little ones bloom in the lap of nature and allow them to explore their surroundings to the fullest.

I have done my B.El.ED. last year in 2010 from SPM college. I had been working in Adriel high school for 1 year.It was a progressive school. I loved to teach there but unfortunelty i had to leave that job coz of some reasons which was going against my ethics and principles.
