A recent survey conducted under Haryana Health Department revealed that maximum of swine flu cases were reported from Gurgaon, 466 out of total positive cases of 657. The H1N1 virus case counts, that is swine flu, till on Tuesday in entire Haryana were 657. Eight people have died of the disease in Haryana, out of which 1 is from Gurgaon.
Though the death toll is kept under check by Haryana Health minister and the team, total suspected cases of flu like symptoms was on the count of 1108 out of which 657 positive swine flu case were detected.
Geeta Bhukkal, Haryana Health Minister, on the day of survey result announcement has asked the people of Haryana to not panic and take proper preventive measures for the disease from authorized healthcare centres. She further stated with firm authority that the state is well equipped to handle any kind of emergency and are carrying out vigil inspection of all flu like cases reported to any healthcare facility in Haryana.
Though the swine flu has gradually faded out of citizens’ mind, Haryana medical staff ensures till today that it do not slip in their inspection of the patients. The complete medical staff around the state as well as volunteers is also informing the people with correct and up-to-date information of preventive measures for swine flu.
Those unaffected can hardly feel the difference in the level of treatment available and being provided by the now-more-confident staff to the patients suffering from swine flu symptoms, with adequate information and supplies made available to them by Health department.
“District units have been geared up for quick response in identification, testing, isolation and treatment of positive patients,” Bhukkal said. Such confident and authoritative statement sure brings down the chaos among sufferers as they find faster treatment to their disease. Among the preventive measures, positive case patients were also quarantined in their homes and treated appropriately. 563 cases are said to be treated completely whereas 37 are still in home quarantine and receiving aid.
On being asked, Bhukkal proudly informed about the available supplies, equipments and medicines, to deal with this horrendous disease. Around 6,670 triple layer masks, 555 N95 masks, 91,500 Tamiflu capsules and 1,734 Tamiflu bottles of syrup have been issued to the district units, she added.
With plan and adequate resources, Haryana Health department is well-equipped to fight off the remaining shards of the swine flu demon lurking in the state. Gurgaon residents can take a breath of relief when the health of the city is under efficient planning of health ministry and skilled doctors.
